Posti has been selected, as the only Finnish company, to be a finalist for the international World Sustainability Awards. Posti is a finalist on an emission reductions category with six other companies, including Heineken and Bayer. The winner will be announced on October 13th.
The World Sustainability Awards is a competition organized in partnership with the respected sustainability assessor EcoVadis, in which an international jury awards companies in 12 sustainability categories such as emissions reduction, circular economy, and human rights.
By the end of last year, Posti had reduced its emissions by 34% compared to 2007. Posti’s current goal is to zero its own emissions by 2030.
“As we have just heard from a recent IPCC report, climate action needs to be even more ambitious. That is why we are pleased that Posti’s long-term work for the environment and our strict climate targets have also been cited as an international example in this competition,” says Posti’s Director of Responsibility, Noomi Jägerhorn.
