Posti will deliver more items early in the morning – minor changes to mail delivery in Lahti

We will make minor changes to mail delivery in Lahti starting in March. We are developing delivery so that we will deliver more other mail in the early morning, in addition to the morning newspaper.

Weekday delivery will remain the main delivery method in the regions, but both newspapers and letters will be delivered to recipients more in connection with the early morning newspaper delivery.

The change applies to the following postal code areas 15100–15520 and 15610–15700.

Most newspapers will be delivered as before, i.e. on their publication days. This applies, for example, to the main newspaper in the region and local newspapers. However, there may be changes to the delivery times of some newspapers.

Most magazines will be delivered on the same days of the week as before.

How are cards and parcels delivered?

The delivery time of stamped letters and cards in Finland is usually four weekdays. If necessary, these items included in the universal service are also delivered on days other than the actual delivery days.

Parcels will be delivered as before to parcel lockers, pickup points, mail slots and boxes or to your doorstep.

Check the delivery dates for your area on Posti's website

You can check the actual delivery dates for your area based on your postal code at posti.fi/jakelupaivat.

Alternate-day delivery is already in use in most of Finland and also in all Nordic countries. The reason for this is the dramatic decrease in the volume of printed mail. By overhauling delivery, Posti can continue to offer traditional delivery services alongside digital services.
