Posti’s service provider Tieto experienced a telecommunications problem between Saturday and Sunday that partially affected Posti’s services. The problem has now been fixed and all services are available again as normal.
“We thank all our customers for their patience. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused by the problem. Over the weekend, the system updates performed by Tieto caused some unexpected problems. Our systems and services are now being rebooted, which may still cause some temporary slowness. However, we were able to fix the main issue in close cooperation with Tieto,” says Sampsa Karjalainen from Posti ICT.

Despite the problem, the early-morning delivery was able to deliver 95% of this morning’s newspapers throughout the country.
Posti’s website posti.fi was unavailable and the chat lines and online forms were not working properly. The issues have now been fixed and all services are available again as normal. Posti’s traditional telephone call service was available as normal during the telecommunications problem, but the situation caused a build-up of calls.
Some parcel lockers were not working properly. The service is now available as normal.
The OmaPosti service experienced some problems but is now functioning again as normal.
