Vote in advance in the municipal elections at Posti’s 15 advance polling stations

You can vote in advance in the municipal elections from March 29 to April 4, 2017. The actual election day is Sunday, April 9, 2017. The notices of the right to vote are sent well before the start of the advance voting. Each municipality selects the locations for its advance polling stations. In Helsinki, Posti offers many opportunities for voting in advance with 12 advance voting stations. In addition, some Posti outlets offer the possibility of advance voting in Espoo, Hyvinkää and Oulu.

Posti's advance polling stations are available in eight Posti outlets in Helsinki:

  1. HELSINKI Main Post Office, Posti outlet, (entrance opposite Kiasma art museum), Mannerheiminaukio 1 B, 00100 Helsinki

  2. HELSINKI PUNAVUORI, Posti outlet, Annankatu 8, 00120 Helsinki

  3. HELSINKI KASARMITORI, Posti outlet, Kasarmikatu 19, 00130 Helsinki

  4. HELSINKI MUNKKIVUORI, Posti outlet, Raumantie 1, 00350 Helsinki

  5. HELSINKI ETU-VALLILA, Posti outlet, Sturenkatu 21, 00510 Helsinki

In addition, Posti cooperates with four shopping centers to organize advance voting in Helsinki:

In addition to Helsinki, Posti's advance voting services are available in three Posti outlets in Espoo, Hyvinkää and Oulu:

You can vote in advance at any advance voting station, also outside your home town. All Posti outlets offering advance voting can be recognized by the sign on the door. For over 40 years, Posti has served as a familiar and trustworthy place to cast a ballot.

In accordance with the Election Act, the municipal board is responsible for organizing the advance vote in Finland. In addition to Posti outlets, advance polling stations can be found in public administration offices and libraries.
