In November 2021, Posti received a fully electric Volvo FL Electric series-produced electric truck. So far, there are only a few vehicles in operational use in Finland. In addition, a new high-capacity charging station has been completed at Posti's freight terminal in the Helsinki metropolitan area, which will ensure a high utilization rate of the electric car.
The electric truck is a continuation of Posti's efforts to increase the number of electric vehicles of all sizes. The locally emission-free and almost silent electric truck will be used for transport in the Posti's Helsinki metropolitan area. So you can see the car during the day, for example, in-store deliveries and in the evenings delivering consignments to consumers at home.
Electric vehicles are one way to make all transport fossil-free by 2030.
