1/19/2021

Update 2022: We share information about any changes to our services by updating this bulletin

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, we have taken precautions to protect the health of our customers and personnel and to ensure the continuity of our operations.

We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely. The health and safety of our customers and personnel is our first priority. We follow the guidelines provided by government officials (THL and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health).

We are currently preparing for the Christmas season, which is the busiest time of the year for us. We are doing everything we can to ensure that also this year we can continue to celebrate Christmas with our customers in a healthy and safe way.

We will continue to take precautions in our customer encounters. Our service points are equipped with protective shields and we try to avoid close contact. Our employees wear masks at our service points and when delivering shipments. We will also continue to use masks in our postal, logistics and sorting centres and in all other locations where there are large numbers of employees and it is more difficult to avoid close contact. We are also using masks to protect ourselves against the approaching influenza season.

Santa Claus' Main Post Office in the Arctic Circle will open on 8.11.2021. Otherwise, our parcel points and service points in Finland are currently operating normally. Domestic letter mail and freight are currently not affected by the corona situation. Deliveries to most parts of the world are also operating normally, but there may still be delays.

We share information about any changes to our services by updating this bulletin . Check our website for answers related to international postal traffic and Frequently asked questions about the coronavirus. You can read last year’s bulletin at https://www.posti.fi/korona-ulkomaille.

Posti plays a major role in maintaining the security of supply. We give priority to items that are critical and important for security of supply and the functioning of society. These include items related to general safety, such as deliveries of blood and laboratory samples, official announcements as well as other services specified by government officials.
