Timo Karppinen (M.Soc.Sc.) has been appointed CFO of Posti Group Corporation and a member of Posti Group’s Leadership Team as of 1 February 2021. In addition, Timo Koskinen (D.Soc.Sc.) has been appointed as the Group’s Senior Vice President, Human Resources and a member of the Leadership Team. He will begin in his new role in spring 2021.
Karppinen joins Posti from his previous role as the CFO of DNA and Koskinen from his previous role as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at VR Group.
As announced earlier, Anna Salmi (M.Sc. Econ) will also begin working in her new role as Senior Vice President of Brand, Communications and Sustainability on 1 February 2021. Prior to joining Posti, she worked at Stockmann.
The latest appointments are part of the renewal efforts initiated by Posti in spring 2020. While the growth of e-commerce has created immense opportunities for the group, the increasing number of logistics operators challenges the organization to compete in an increasingly complex market.

The current CFO Tom Jansson, and Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Hanna Reijonen will leave the company and continue in their roles until their successors take office.

In addition to Kuusisto, Karppinen and Koskinen, the renewed Leadership Team consists of Yrjö Eskola, Senior Vice President, Postal Services; Johannes Gussander, CEO of Aditro Logistics; Arttu Hollmérus, Senior Vice President, Parcel and E-Commerce; Sakari Kiiskinen, Head of Transval; and Jussi Kuutsa, President of Itella Russia; Petteri Naulapää, Senior Vice President, ICT and Digitalization; Kaarina Ståhlberg, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and M&A. Anna Salmi, Senior Vice President, Brand, Communications and Sustainability, also joins the Leadership Team as of 1 February 2021.
