The Transport Workers' Union AKT has commenced a 24-hour port strike on June 11 at 6:00 a.m. The background to the strike is the port of Tornio's dispute concerning the blockade of a foreign ship realized by AKT's local trade union branch and related shipowners' actions.
The strike will also slow down the international transports of Itella customers in places.
