Itella's Board of Directors has on April 29, 2014 approved a plan for the merger of Itella Logistics Oy with Itella Posti Oy. The aim is to have the new company structure ready on January 1, 2015.
The change is part of Itella's new vision and strategy. The aim is to improve customer focus and achieve savings in administrative costs by simplifying the Group structure.
The change will have no effect on Itella Corporation, which will continue as Group's parent company. The change will also have no effect on OpusCapita Group Oy, which will continue as a subgroup of Itella and as one of Itella's business groups. Itella consists of four business groups as of January 1, 2014: Itella Mail Communications, Itella Logistics, Itella Russia and OpusCapita.
