Itella Information sells its printing business in Poland to PostNord

24.07.2013

Itella Information has signed an agreement regarding the sale of its printing business in Poland to PostNord. As a result of the transfer of business, 50 employees will transfer from Itella Information to PostNord’s Strålfors business unit in Warsaw. These employees handled approximately 60 million mailings in 2012.

“There has been considerable competition and excess capacity in the international printing business over recent years. Therefore we decided to sell our relatively small printing unit in Poland in order to boost our activities to adapt to the market, and to focus on financial management outsourcing services and financial process automation solutions, which is in line with our strategy,” explains Heikki Länsisyrjä, Managing Director of Itella Information.

The sale will be completed on 30 August 2013. The sale will not have a significant impact on Itella Information’s net sales or operating result.

PostNord Strålfors provides communication solutions ranging from digital printing to enveloping and electronic channels.
