Itella and Maskun Kalustetalo Oy, one of the leading furniture retail chains in Finland, have signed an agreement for domestic freight and store and home deliveries. The comprehensive agreement covers transport to 50 stores and about 50,000 home deliveries per year. The agreement will take effect nationwide at the start of 2013.

"It is essential for us that we get faster, more reliable customer deliveries. At the moment, our store network covers all of Finland, so we need a partner who is capable of providing a reliable service throughout Finland. Itella offered us an optimal overall solution, and we can develop our operations with them in the future," says Matti Immonen, CIO and Logistics Director of Maskun Kalustetalo Oy.

"We have solid expertise and understanding of furniture logistics. We are happy with the new cooperative agreement. With the customer, we consider their needs and those of their customers. We have the resources to provide extensive solutions which give the intended added value. We are also commited to developing our cooperation," says Ben Angelvirta, Director of Itella Logistics Oy.
