Itella Logistics develops global services in Asia

Itella Logistics will harmonize the global air and sea transport services in Asia by centralizing its operations to its partner On Time Express (OTEL). The agreement, effective from October 1st, has been made with all eight Itella Logistics’ homeland countries. The countries which are included in the agreement with On Time Express are China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Vietnam, Indonesia and Bangladesh.

−With one partner we can harmonize services and operational areas and simplify our service processes and portfolio. This increases our competitiveness and also creates new opportunities for business, explains Joni Sundelin, the Vice President of Itella Logistics.

Increased service level

On Time Express is specifically focused on air and sea transports. It has one of Asia’s most comprehensive networks, and excellent quality level of service. Thanks to the new partnership, the transport networks will expand and the transport frequencies as well as capacities increase. The new operational model will also enhance partner management and control.
