Midsummer and summertime will see changes to the opening hours of post offices.
Midsummer
Before Midsummer's Day, post offices will be closed earlier than usual.
- On the day before Midsummer's Eve, Thursday June 24, post offices will close by 6 pm.
- On Midsummer's Eve, Friday June 25, and on Midsummer's Day, Saturday June 26, post offices will be closed.
Exceptions to opening hours:
- The Helsinki General Post Office will be open as follows:
- June 24: The postal outlets in 54710 Lemi and 74200 Vieremä will close at 5 pm and 4.30 pm, respectively.
- The Santa Claus Main Post Office (96930 NAPAPIIRI) will serve the public every day from 9 am to 7 pm from June to August, and will be open throughout Midsummer.
The approximately 1,000 postal agency shops will serve the public according to their own opening hours during Midsummer.
The Consumer Call Center, +358 200 71000 (local call charge/mobile charge), and Corporate Call Center, +358 200 77000 (local call charge/mobile charge), will serve customers on the day before Midsummer's Eve until 6 pm. On Midsummer's Eve and Midsummer's Day, call centers will be closed.
Summer opening hours from June 28 to August 8
Summer opening hours will apply to post offices from Monday June 28 onwards. During the slower midsummer season, from June 28 to August 8, post offices will serve the public as normal until 6 pm from Monday to Friday.
In addition, the following post offices will stay open in the summertime on weekdays until 7 pm: 00700 HELSINKI (Malmi), 04400 JÄRVENPÄÄ, 15100 LAHTI, 15500 LAHTI (Laune), 20250 TURKU (Muhkuri), 49400 HAMINA, 65100 VAASA, 90400 OULU (Limingantulli), and 90420 OULU (Kaakkuri).
Exceptions: 74200 VIEREMÄ will be open until 4.30 pm and 54710 LEMI until 5 pm.
The following post offices will serve the public from 10 am to 2 pm on summer Saturdays:

The Helsinki General Post Office will be open throughout the summer according to its normal opening hours, including weekends.
The approximately 1,000 postal agency shops will serve the public according to their own opening hours during midsummer, and several of them also late in the evenings and on weekends.
