Tieto and Itella have concluded two new IT infrastructure services agreements. Tieto will deliver data centre services to Itella Information from 1 September 2009 until the end of 2014. The deal means that ten persons in three countries will transfer to Tieto. One of the agreements concerns Itella Oyj's managed services: an outsourcing agreement concluded between the parties in 2004 was extended by one year from the start of July.
- Here at Itella Information we'll be concentrating on billing and financial administration processes. At this stage, running the data centres of a growing, internationalising company is no longer part of our core business. A strong partner will enable us to expand faster into new markets and areas, says Heikki Länsisyrjä, Managing Director at Itella Information.
- With the outsourcing arrangement we are looking for standardised services, predictable costs and standard processes.
