Jaana Jokinen will start working as Itella’s Senior Vice President, HR, as of November 1. She will report to the president and CEO, Jukka Alho, and she will also become a member of Itella Group’s Management Board.
Jaana Jokinen will join Itella from Nokia, where she has been working in different business and HR management positions since 1995. She is currently in charge of human relations in the Demand Supply Network Management Unit. Before her career with Nokia, Jokinen has also worked as a personnel and organization development consultant. She holds a master’s degree in economics.
- I find Itella to be a very interesting company with a solid tendency towards internationalization. I want to be part of this development and I believe that my background and experience form a good starting point for this task, Jaana Jokinen says.
Tuike Karppinen, who has been Itella’s Senior Vice President responsible for HR since 2001, will become responsible for the development of Itella’s Finnish HR functions. Her tasks also include the employer’s responsibility for the biggest Finnish personnel fund and the occupational health and safety foundation Työhyvinvointisäätiö.
-Itella is committed to taking the various phases of its employees’ lives into account. Now, I am personally doing so, at my own initiative. In my current situation, this arrangement enables me to better balance work and personal life, Karppinen tells us.
