Itella's SAP maintenance to transfer to Accenture

22.05.2008

Itella Corporation and Accenture have signed an agreement with which the maintenance of Itella's SAP systems will transfer to Accenture on 1 June 2008. The transfer will be implemented in the form of a business transfer, through which the 15 employees of Itella ICT Services' SAP Customer Competence Center will join the payroll of Accenture.

– We were looking for a strong partner able to serve Itella’s business on an international scale. In future, we will be able to make SAP expertise more accessible for all our companies in all Itella countries, comments Tomi Pienimäki, CIO, on the reasons for the outsourcing decision.

– We are delighted to be able to start a new kind of partnership with Itella, and help Itella to gain effectiveness in an expanding international business environment. We warmly welcome Itella’s SAP support team as part of Accenture’s staff, says Jorma Jokinen, Senior Partner at Accenture Finland’s Public Service Group.
