Posti has been awarded as the winner in the carbon reduction category of the World Sustainability Awards 2021. A total of seven international companies such as Heineken and Bayer had been selected for the finals.
The World Sustainability Awards is a competition organized in conjunction with the renowned sustainability assessor EcoVadis, in which an international jury awards companies in 12 sustainability series such as emission reductions, the circular economy, and human rights.
“The award now received is a tremendous tribute to the long-term and systematic climate work we have been doing at Posti for decades. As we have read in the IPCC reports this autumn, climate action needs to be even more ambitious, and we are aiming for emissions-free transport in an even faster timeframe,” says Sustainability Director, Noomi Jägerhorn.
By the end of last year, Posti managed to reduce our emissions by 34% compared to 2007. Posti's current goal is to have zero emissions for all of our own emissions, as well as all transportation, by 2030. Last year, the company reduced emissions by 14 percent.
