OpusCapita completed cooperation negotiations in Finance and Accounting Outsourcing business unit in Finland

OpusCapita has completed the cooperation negotiations in its Finance and Accounting Outsourcing business unit in Finland. The aim is to develop current operations to meet the market demand and customer needs. The negotiations started on 9 August 2016.

With the planned new operating model OpusCapita aims at improving unit's cost efficiency and service quality by simplifying processes, reducing overlaps and number of personnel. The company estimates to achieve annual savings of EUR 1.8 million as of the second quarter 2017.

The scope of cooperation negotiations included 126 employees in the beginning of the negotiations.  During the process the amount decreased to 105 persons. At the beginning of the negotiations the reduction need was 43 permanent positions at maximum. As a result of the negotiations the final reduction need based on financial and production grounds is 34 permanent positions in Finland. In addition, the scope included 12 fixed term employees whose employment continues until the end of December 2016.

The negotiations included following sites in Finland: Espoo/Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Tampere and Turku. As a result of the new organization structure and operating model, service delivery operations will be centralized to Jyväskylä. Operations in Kuopio and Turku will be closed.
