Posti service point network comprises 1,400 Posti outlets and Parcel Points. 90% of the Posti outlets are run by shops and other companies and serve according to their own opening hours during Christmas, New Year and Epiphany. Public holidays also change the opening hours of Posti's own shops.
Independence day
On the eve of Independence Day, December 5, Posti's own shops will close at 6:00 p.m. On Independence Day, December 6, Posti's own shops will be closed.
Posti's own shops will be open longer than usual before Christmas:
From December 7 to December 23, Monday to Friday until 8:00 p.m.
Posti's own shops will also be open on weekends before Christmas:
From December 10 to December 11, on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
From December 17 to December 18, on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
Christmas holidays
On the day before Christmas Eve, December 23, Posti's own shops will remain open until 8:00 p.m. Posti's own shops will be closed during the Christmas holidays from December 24 to December 26.
New Year
On New Year's Eve, December 31, Posti's own shops will close at 4:00 p.m. Posti's own shops will be closed on the New Year's Day January 1, 2017.
Epiphany
Posti's own shops will close at 6:00 p.m. on the eve of Epiphany, January 5, 2017. On Epiphany, January 6, Posti's own shops will be closed.
Santa Claus' Main Post Office at the Arctic Circle (96930 Arctic Circle) will be open every day of the year, also during Christmas, New Year and Epiphany.
Exceptions to the service hours of Posti's own shops: 54710 Lemi will close at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, Posti outlet 23500 Uusikaupunki will be closed on weekends and close at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, Posti outlet 53500 Harapainen will have normal opening hours.

Mail deliverers will still deliver mail as normal on Friday December 23. Mail will not be delivered during the Christmas holidays from December 24 to December 26, except for newspapers in early-morning delivery on the morning of Christmas Eve.
The New Year will be on the weekend and newspapers will be delivered in early-morning delivery on Saturday December 31.
Mail will not be delivered on Epiphany, January 6, except for newspapers in early-morning delivery.
