Itella has signed a letter of intent in terms of selling Logia Software

Itella Corporation has signed a letter of intent in terms of selling Logia Software Oy, a subsidiary owned by Itella, to Logia Software's management, Managing Director Markku Kokko and Business Unit Manager Seppo Marjamäki. The aim is to finalize the transaction later in the fall 2013.

The planned transaction is part of renewing Itella's ICT operating model, which started in spring 2013. In April, Itella announced that it will renew its ICT operating model and signed an extensive partnership agreement with IBM.

- Selling Logia Software is part of Itella's transformation. Our operating environment is in a state of change, and we want to focus more on our own core business, says Jukka Rosenberg, Senior Vice President, Itella Mail Communications.

Logia Software has more than 30 years' experience in providing and developing systems for delivery and warehousing. In the future, Itella will continue to be Logia Software's customer.

The objective of Logia Software's management is to develop and grow the company's business together with its employees.

- Our logistics software has been created through long-term and systematic development. We want to build on this foundation and grow our business, says Logia Software's Managing Director Markku Kokko.

Markku Kokko has been Logia Software's Managing Director since 2001. Business Unit Manager Seppo Marjamäki has worked for the company since 2004. Both Kokko and Marjamäki have an entrepreneurial background.
