Aktia Bank to cut expenses with Itella Information's iPost service

25.04.2012

In the future, Aktia Bank will distribute account statement letters using Itella Information’s iPost service. The service cuts Aktia’s costs and helps to focus on core business.

Aktia outsourced its account statement operations entirely to Itella. Aktia will electronically transmit its customers' account statements to Itella. Furthermore, the iPost service takes care of printing and sending the statements to Aktia's customers by mail.

– In Aktia's case, we deliver account statement letters for bank customers who do not wish to receive bank statements in their online bank. Letters can also be distributed electronically by iPost, says Antti Perttula, Sales Manager, Itella Information.

Processing and archiving of electronic or paper material takes resources from core activities, and undermines the actual business. The iPost service improves efficiency of organizations, since the resources can be allocated correctly.

Co-operation between Aktia and Itella Information began with the distribution of Aktia Group's sales invoices. iPost service expands the cooperation of the two companies, and Aktia gets additional benefits from centralization.

− We outsourced the account statement process to Itella, as we want to focus on our core business competencies, says Stina Stavén, Development Manager, Aktia.
