Itella Posti's terms of delivery for consumers and contract terms for corporate clients will change on June 1

02.05.2011

Itella Posti's general terms of delivery for cash and consumer customers, including appendices to the terms, will be updated to comply with the new Postal Services Act on June 1. The terms of delivery will be updated with regard to the handling of undeliverables as well as to who is entitled to seek compensation for delayed, lost or damaged mail items. In addition, under the new act the placement of mailboxes will be determined by the postal operator responsible for the universal service.

Itella Posti's Contract Terms for corporate clients will also be updated on June 1. The structure of the Product Terms contract services has been changed, and the content has been specified. The most important changes to the Product Terms involve updating the product-specific service promises to comply with the new Postal Services Act, as well as the presentation of payment methods as a separate section. The terms of the Pricing Service have also been updated.

The new terms of delivery will be published on posti.fi website and the General Contract Terms for corporate clients on the itella.fi website on May 2.
