Billentis names Itella Information Germany the best European company for communicating on e-invoicing

Itella's communication on e-invoicing is best in quantity and quality

Itella Information, Germany achieved the highest overall score on communicating about e-invoicing in terms of both quantity and quality. Survey about communication on e-invoicing was conducted by the international consultancy and e-invoicing firm Billentis. The research pointed out also that there is a lack of benefits for consumers from many companies' communication and huge room for improvement. The results of the survey were presented at this year's EXPP summit in Amsterdam.

The aim of the survey was to analyze how customers seeking information about e-invoicing are educated by companies. For this purpose, Billentis examined the content of press releases, websites and blogs of approximately 70 European companies. The main reason for examining companies' online communication was to identify whether an actual benefit for the user is visible at first glance and if the next steps are clearly communicated to them. In addition to these qualitative measurements, Billentis analysed the frequency of communication, the Google page rank and the number of unique monthly page views. With an overall motivation factor (that is, the increase in interest or desire among the end-user to read more about this topic.) of 2.5, Itella  Information in Germany achieved the highest score of all companies surveyed.

- Potential e-invoicing customers are bombarded with a great amount of advertising messages. They also receive quite confusing messages regarding e-invoicing. In my role, I analyze dozens of news, reports and websites of various stakeholders every day and I believe that there is great potential for improvement. From the around 70 analysed operators and other stakeholders Itella Information, Germany reached first place in overall quality and quantity. Stakeholders should jointly develop the market and raise awareness for electronic invoices. The actual benefits for the user should always be visible at first glance, says Bruno Koch, CEO of Billentis.

- We are very pleased to be honoured with this award, says Raimund Schlotmann, CEO of Itella Information GmbH.

- The acceptance of electronic invoicing in Germany and Europe has increased steadily in recent years but the need for further education still remains high.  It is crucial to both further develop the market and educate the user, Schlotmann continues.
