Posti Group Corporation sells its Scandinavian road transport business

15.04.2015

STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE, POSTI GROUP CORPORATION, 15 APRIL 2015 at 2 p.m.

On 15 April 2015, Posti Group Corporation signed an agreement to sell its road transport business in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, as well as its international freight business in Finland to the Danish company Nordic Transport Group (NTG).

Posti's other logistics business in Finland, in the Baltic countries and Russia are not included in the transaction.

The parties intend to close the deal during the second quarter of 2015.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction price. The transaction will have a non-recurring negative impact on Posti Group's second-quarter result and cash flow. The future impact of the transaction on the Group's profitability is expected to be positive.

"This transaction is a continuation to the measures for improving logistics profitability. Already last year we restructured our operations in Scandinavia. Posti's market share of international freight business in Scandinavian has been small," says Sari Helander, Posti's CFO.

As part of the transaction, 190 people will be transferred to the service of the buyer.
